October 24th: Cryptobridge/Enterprise update

Good day my fellow Heliumites,

The team is happy to announce that we have just been listed at CryptoBridge with a BTC / HLM trading pair. This gives us our first DEX listing (Decentralized Exchange) which is very useful to us to have a compliment to the current landscape of centralized exchanges. We will continue to both focus on getting trading volume to increase via awareness and utility of the coin while also looking at adding more quality exchanges. I have contacted CMC to update the listing there as well so we are now good to go.

Lastly, a big thank you goes out to @stonehedge for contributing to the cost of this listing - a gift to the Helium community. We have made a lot of traction lately due to many of the team and community members stepping up to help out in various ways regarding funding. Most chains simply do not have this level of togetherness and dedication.

  1. Karmawolf and myself are in discussions with several companies with regard to enterprise partnerships going forward. Details of our efforts will follow in the near future but are currently at an early stage.
  1. As an open network, anybody can choose to start their own workstream. This is the nature of having an open network such as ours. The community has no control over who starts a new intitiative but will have democratic control over which workstreams are funded in the future, using the governance system.
  1. Over the past year, Coins101 has been independently building relationships with several major companies (IBM, Arup and several others). So far, this has taken the form of establishing a working relationship through a blockchain working committee, of which Coins101 is a member.
  1. Over the last month or so, I have been talking to Coins101 in order to address community concerns about his progress in the last year and gain inormation about his plans. He has provided me with copies of meeting minutes held with the companies that he has mentioned in various posts. Coins101 has decided that his workstream will be an offline one, separate from the online cryptocurrency community which makes sense to me as that is how large companies tend to engage. I have visibility of evidence that Coins101 has been busy nurturing relationships, but I do not know how these relationships will link to Helium in the future, he needs to answer your questions on that
  1. There are currently no formal cooperation agreements between Coins101's Helium Alliance and the organisations that he is working with. The Helium Alliance has not been established as a legal entity. We have asked Coins101 to provide us with copies of cooperation agreements between the Helium Alliance and those companies. We believe that these will not be available for some weeks but we are told that the signing of such documents is planned.
  1. Coins101 is a co-founder of Helium but his current workstream is intended to be independent of the Helium project and should be seen as an initiative lead by a community member. As such, it is his responsibility to engage and inform the Helium community.
  1. The offline approach that Coins101 has adopted will undoubtedly raise numerous questions from the community about what he has achieved so far and plans to achieve in the future. For this reason, Coins101 would like us to collate questions from the community for him to answer in the style of an AMA. The Helium community should use this opportunity to address any questions or concerns that they may have.
  1. In the meantime, Karmawolf and myself will be aggressively persuing the leads that we have created and nurturing the nascent relationships that we have built with organisations that are keen to work with Helium to develop services and use cases.

If the community has any specific questions that they would like to ask about my recent communications with Coins101, then please feel free to ask.

Similarly, if the community has any questions about the nature of the relationships that I am building in conjunction with Karmawolf, we are happy to answer them.

everyone Just to be clear about the suggestions ive been putting in to the team and to all the group, that it seems logical that helium should move to develop this secondary layer function of being able to trigger smart contract payments with the masternodes. This would allow us to be more universal in attracting enterprise across many sectors. For those interested in price, this would be the fastest way to attract real value. For those interested in technical challenges I think it presents some interesting material to build on without being overly ambitious and over reaching our ability.

For helium to be a very large project we need multiple extensive enterprise usages going on, I say we work towards it as quick as possible.

need to call a group meeting about the second layer roadmap, lets get that done in the next week or so
