July 10th: last hurdles

update: Will be having a conversation with Graham and the potential launch team who can tidy up our outstanding issues and then let me email cryptopia for code presentation and co-ordinate launch. Attracting volunteers is the only way we can effectively build our second layer, if we have to pay for every hour of that process the cost can become exponential.

In Barbados currently meeting with companies who assist in setting up foundations and such for Blockchain/crypto companies. The Helium team is firing on a cylinders now regardless of what some may think.

ok next issue of business, we need two Spork key holders, a key position that controls the on/off for enforcing masternode payments, and enabling the dev / governance budget superblocks. I am willing to be one person, but I will put the key in a deep lock safe, and I will not have it with me day to day, it would be emergency only and take days to go get it. The second would be the active user of the key, I suggest @RzeroD as being the next in line for treasurer it would seem a fitting role.
just looking over details of the seesaw mechanism, comparing it to the balancing system used in Phore. The Seesaw may not be upto the job when dealing with the fact that masternode hosting is popular and if a host went down and MN count goes tumbling down the system may be unstable.
The phore system it seems will correct differences in the rewards so at a certain point the ROI for staking will be higher than masternodes, and vice versa, and thus there is economic incentive to switch if it reaches that point. But it is less extreme and more predictable then the seesaw.

it won't be too long. We completed a big one today - treasury work and new genesis blocks are ready. I asked the dev team to double check my work, but Travis liked it - https://travis-ci.org/heliumchain/helium/builds/401575533
We have about 5 folks contributing and there are some friends from Phore that will guide us through launch.

The launch team are joining us from Phore, respect the team as they are one of the few doing things correctly in this space.
Combining With Graham and Faetos its the best line up development wise I could have asked for. It will be a hard project to ignore having this group working together
