@everyone Just a quick update for the community that I am waving any fee for assisting the community, sometimes im forced to try and do backroom negotiation on all our communities behalf to tempt developers into our group, which Graham strongly is disapproving the process off. So by declaring that I will at no point receive a single dollar from this and not overpaying for any service im clearly only trying to act in the community interest. This is not something that really needs discussion and just a note that Teela can store in Announcements.

We have changed the chat history of the Slack to a page called Slarck that will be in charge of archiving the messages automatically.
It's fully synchronized and you have a search option if you register on the page.

@everyone We have an important meeting tomorrow, as per Grahams request he wants us all to be able to talk to the developers, as part of our group dynamic. So we have some new Developers arriving to chat, and hopefully be of interest to you all to employ. We are growing our technical team and making sure we have the right number of staff available for launch, we don't want to have one single person being relied on for all of our time and investment. So lets fund the number needed so we all are secure.

@everyone Making the first introduction of the day, Soulinthone (@OnS) is a developer who was the team to build https://bx.in.th/. I have laid out what we are trying to achieve, that we are launching on Cryptopia, and are preparing our chain for launch. Maybe ask him some sensible questions, about his experience, how would work with us on this project.

OnS said:

I have experience in Dash, Ripple fork and mostly have experience in Cryptonote
I customized Monero coin
I have been working with blockchain & cryptocurrency for 3 years and recently customized 3 wallets.

The main outline of our kick off is as follows. 1>) adjust the ledger of the coin, to remove the bittrex address, also adjust the coin supply total and minor details on code
2) Create genesis block + seed nodes
3) Start the coin with POW for one week
4)Switch onto POS
5) Update wallet to new PIVX updated, (this is not available as yet,)

@lightingcoders @OnS Do you have any repo on GitHub that is public in which there is code/projects that you have done or in which you have participated?

OnS said:

I have one whitecoin wallet source code on github, and customized it and made new coin

This is what I built and customized code

@RzeroD by nature we don't do Open Source , we work directly with our clients on their projects which means , we don't really have repos for client privacy purposes

Helium Supply Reference (or spreadsheet)

@jsykes is this the gibberish that is displayed in the spreadsheet?

@gj If you want a smooth linear function, this is your best bet: Current block subsidy = Initial subsidy - (Initial subsidy - Target subsidy) * ((Current block height - 8400) / (End Pos phase block height - 8400)). When values are substituted, you get Subsidy(n)= 5 - (5-2) * ((block height(n) - 8400) / (3118800 - 8400)) = 5 - 3 * (n - 8400)/3110400, where n = current block height /code

jsykes said:

how dare you

and yes, but just values in monthly step sizes

@everyone Just to say that @OnS and @lightingcoders are reading over all the information we have provided, thanks to @jsykes for the effort he put in there. The devs are going to be providing a record of what is going on.

I have paid them the initial 2 days of work, which im going to be claiming back after launch.

no probs guys, once we get the launch out the way we can all move on to the fun bit of making us a competitive. Im talking to Senior people in the blockchain world about us working with them. They are watching what is going on currently in the slack and hope they want to join in. If we get this right im sure we can convince them.

Richy has just sent me receipts totalling ~2750 dollars in BTC and Western Union that was paid to our developers. I will keep those receipts safe but I will not make them public since they´re not anonymized.
